Kirstin Punu

Senior Development Manager, Hawai‘i Project Development, AES Hawai‘i

Kirstin Punu is a Senior Development Manager and leads AES Hawai‘i’s project origination efforts across Hawai‘i. Kirstin is proudly helping Hawai‘i achieve its 100% renewable energy future while partnering with the state and communities to accelerate access to safe efficient and affordable energy.

Kirstin was born on O‘ahu and grew up in Haiku, Maui where she graduated from Maui High School. She is passionate about furthering a responsible and sustainable future for generations to come. Kirstin sits on the Trust for Public Land Hawai‘i Advisory Board and is a Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) executive board member.

Kirstin earned a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University and graduated from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design with a master’s degree in Urban Planning and a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Development. She also received a certification from the American Planning Association (APA) American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
