Cameron Haughey is the Director of Project Management for AES Hawai‘i where he manages a team of project managers for our portfolio of solar and battery energy storage projects through development, construction, and commissioning. Cameron joined AES Hawai‘i in 2017 as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Project Manager for our solar-plus-storage and microgrid projects on the island of Kaua‘i. Notably, Cameron led EPC teams to successfully engineer, build, commission, and operate some of the state’s first utility-scale integrated solar + storage projects. AES’ 28 MW solar + 100 MWh BESS Lāwaʻi project on Kauaʻi won the 2019 Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Award for the team’s innovation and contributions to advancing the nation’s electric sector.

Prior to working with AES Hawai‘i, Cameron delivered 100+ MW of solar plants for SunEdison.

Cameron holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with double minors in Chemistry and Psychology from the University of Delaware. Cameron also holds multiple certifications related to the development and construction of renewable energy projects, including a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers whose vision is to lead the global energy community to meet the challenges of a clean and sustainable energy future.
