Antonette Berdadero-Sun is an Administrative Assistant for AES Hawai‘i. Antonette joined AES Hawai‘i’s Barbers Point project in 2001 as an Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Plant Administrator in 2009. In these positions, Antonette supported the Plant Manager and the leadership team and was an integral part of supporting our people’s transition from the plant to positions supporting our renewable projects. With the retirement of the coal plant in September 2022, Antonette transitioned to a position supporting AES Hawaiʻi's renewable projects and is dedicated to helping Hawai‘i reach its goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045. Antonette is a lifetime resident of O‘ahu and graduated from McKinley High School. She enjoys going to the beach and spending time with family and her four dogs and cat.

“Having grandchildren and great-grandchildren, it is important to me that their future can rely on a cleaner source of power. Hawaiʻi has the wind and sun as natural resources, and the possibility of additional renewable energy is exciting. My priority is to help my ‘ohana and Hawaiʻi reach its goal of 100% renewable energy by, or even before, 2045.”
